At cricketbadger.com we’ve scratched our brows and selected our Best Ever World T20 XI ahead of the ICC World T20 in March and April. Do you agree with our selections?
There have been so many brilliant exponents of T20 cricket and the skill levels continue to rise.
Let us know if you agree with our World T20 XI on our Twitter feed or facebook page.
Who have we missed that you would have picked?
BADGER’s BEST EVER WORLD T20 XI
- Chris Gayle (West Indies)
- Brendon McCullum (New Zealand, Captain)
- Virat Kohli (India)
- AB de Villiers (South Africa)
- Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka, WK)
- Jacques Kallis (South Africa)
- Kieron Pollard (West Indies)
- Shahid Afridi (Pakistan)
- James Faulkner (Australia)
- Mitchell Starc (Australia)
- Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka)
The biggest decisions we had centred around who our spinner would be. We opted for Shahid ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi. We’re sure you’ll have your own opinion on that.
Brendon McCullum is capable of mayhem with the bat and he’d be our skipper. His opening partner was the easiest pick of the lot - Chris Gayle’s record in the shortest form of the game is incredible.
India host the biggest domestic T20 competition in the world, but there’s only room for Virat Kohli in our Best Ever XI.
We’ve stacked our middle-order with all-rounders and the Yorkers of Starc and Malinga at the death are our trump card.
Can you beat our XI? See what you can do.
