#SAvWI: Faf Du Plessis rested for final T20I against West Indies

Faf du Plessis has been rested for the remainder of the KFC T20 International series against the West Indies. Justin Ontong will take over as captain for the last T20 International at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead on Wednesday.

Proteas team manager, Dr Mohammed Moosajee explained: “Faf has been rested for the last T20I as a precautionary measure ahead of a busy ODI period over the next three months. He has a longstanding hip niggle and any amount of rest will be beneficial to him in the long run.”

The ODI squad will gather in Durban on Wednesday evening ahead of the first Momentum ODI at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead on Friday.
