Nikita Miller starred on the final day in Trinidad as the home side lost out to Jamaica in the Professional Cricket League.
Chasing 239 for victory, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force were bowled out for 201 as the sometime West Indies left-arm spinner returned figures of seven for 63 from 29 overs. Nicolas Pooran top-scored with 55.
Miller had earlier played a useful role with the bat towards the end of the Jamaica second innings on day three. He hit 40 from number nine as the tail wagged with the last three wickets putting on a pivotal 77 runs. Debutant left-arm seamer Daniel St. Clair was the pick of the Red Force bowlers with three for 38.
In truth, the Red Force had their opportunities in this match. They had Jamaica six for four after just seven overs on day one as Marlon Richards decimated the top-order. However, captain Tamar Lambert and the experienced Dave Bernard (65) did more than just stem the flow of wickets, adding 145 for the fifth-wicket. A further collapse followed Lambert’s departure for 87, with Imran Khan taking six for 52 with his leg-breaks as the visitors were all out for a lowly 173.
The Red Force were unable to capitalise on that good work, however, and mustered only 131 in reply. Sheldon Cottrell proved his fitness for the forthcoming series against South Africa by taking five for 42, while Marquino Mindley and Damion Jacobs each collected a brace.

He worked for CricketWorld.com for almost three years, leading their county and domestic cricket coverage and contributing to a book about the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, before joining the hugely ambitious World Cricket Badger early in 2014.
The first Test that he remembers watching was on Channel 4 - back before the ECB marginalised potential future fans by selling the TV rights to Sky Sports - when England beat Pakistan by an innings and nine runs at Lord’s.
Besides a passion for domestic cricket, he also has an unexplainable interest in all things Zimbabwe cricket!
