Mudgal panel members meet in Mumbai and Chennai

The Justice Mukul Mudgal panel, which is investigating allegations of fixing and corruption in IPL 2013, met in Chennai on Sunday after spending two days in Mumbai.

According to sources close to the Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI), N. Srinivasan, has already appeared before members of the panel. The outcome of his deposition is not yet known. Srinivasan’s son-in-law, Gurunath Meiyappan, has preferred to exercise his fundamental right to remain silent.

The Supreme Court has only divulged the name of N. Srinivasan. although there are three other non-cricketers among 13 named in the Mudgal’s first confidential report.

The key member of the panel, who has been actively meeting the players and others, is likely to submit its report to Mukul Mudgal on 25th or 26th October and on the basis of his investigations the former justice is to prepare his final report which will be submitted to the Supreme Court in this month.

The case for the hearing is to take place on November 6.
