The Warriors had a stroke of luck when rain had the final say in their RAM SLAM T20 clash with The Titans at Buffalo Park on Friday.
The game was reduced to 12 overs per side by afternoon rain, and the Warriors were 59 for nine from 11.4 overs when the rain returned to give the teams a couple of points each.
Ashwell Prince (20) and Davy Jacobs (11) were the only batsmen to score more than six as the Warriors collapsed in spectacular fashion, with Saeed Ajmal (3 for 12 from 2.4 overs) and Morne Morkel (3 for 15 from three overs) the chief destroyers.
The washout hampered both sides’ efforts to advance in the competition, particularly with the Sunfoil Dolphins beating the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras at Boland Park.
The Warriors now have 16 points from eight games, which is good enough for third place, while the Titans are in fourth with 14 points from seven games.
