Four wickets in the final session of the second day kept the Knights level pegging with the Warriors in their Sunfoil Series match at Buffalo Park on Friday.

The Warriors had been on track for a first-innings advantage when David White and Ashwell Prince took them to 168 for one in response to the Knights’ 324 all out, but fell from a position of strength to one of parity as they went to stumps on 228 for five.
Werner Coetsee had scored a handy 40 on day one of the match, and made a telling contribution on day two as he picked up three wickets for the Knights.
The visitors resumed their first innings on 307 for eight, but added just 17 further runs as Andrew Birch had Quinton Friend caught and bowled before Basheeru-Deen Walters trapped Lefa Mosena lbw for 73.
Coetsee removed opener Michael Price in the 13th over of the Warriors’ reply, but White and Prince scored 73 and 72 respectively in constructing a steady partnership that put the Warriors in command.
The 134-run stand was broken when Dillon du Preez dismissed White, and five overs later Prince was caught off the bowling of Johan van der Wath.
Coetsee then returned to pick up the wickets of Ryan Bailey and Davey Jacobs in the final hour of the day, and set up an intriguing two days of cricket in a highly-competitive encounter.
Colin Ingram was unbeaten on 20 at the close of play, with Simon Harmer alongside him on two not out.
