A defiant 77 not out by Knights captain Johan van der Wath ensured that his side held on to draw their Sunfoil Series match against the Warriors at Buffalo Park on Sunday and came away with marginally greater rewards.

The visitors took 7.26 points from the game after extending their second innings to 284 on day four thanks to Van der Wath, while the Warriors notched up 6.14 points.
The day began with the Knights on 105 for one in their second innings, leading by 31 runs, and turned into a cagey affair after an early collapse left the visitors to cling on for much of the day.
Overnight batsmen Reeza Hendricks and Rilee Rossouw were dismissed in the fifth and sixth overs of the day and were soon followed by Diego Rosier as the Knights slumped to 116 for four.
Simon Harmer then picked up the wickets of Werner Coetsee and Lefa Mosena in consecutive overs, leaving the visitors with just four wickets in hand and a lead of 74.
However, Rudi Second dug in alongside his captain in an 85-run stand for the seventh wicket that made the game safe. Harmer eventually claimed his fifth wicket when he had Second caught for 42.
Ayabulela Gqamane swept through the tail on his way to figures of 3 for 23, but by the time the Knights were all out there was little for either side to gain in the time remaining and so the two captains shook hands on a draw.
Harmer was named man of the match for his 5 for 92 in the second innings.
