A cursory read of the points table might make Chevrolet Knights fans cringe, but a closer look confirms that they’re closer to the other franchises in quality than some might think. Although Sarel Cilliers’ side have played three and lost three, a net run-rate of -0.30 is evidence that they’ve lost those games narrowly
and so the coach remains confident of a turn-around when they face The Unlimited Titans in Benoni on Wednesday.

“We’re not far off and I think everyone realises that,” said Cilliers. “It’s just a case of putting that performance in that gets the team over the line - either batting or bowling.
“It’s turning those 230s into scores of 250 or 260; or bowling well in the first two or three overs or the last two or three overs that can give you the edge.”
Most encouraging from the Knights’ performance on Friday, when they lost to the Dolphins in the final over of the game, was the return to form of Rilee Rossouw. Back at number three at Cilliers’ insistence, the left-hander struck a typically cultured 90 and will be looking forward to facing a strong Titans attack on Wednesday.
While the new-ball pairing of Ethy Mbhalati and Marchant de Lange has been formidable for the Titans, their opening partnership with the bat has also been one to watch.
“Jacques (Rudolph) and Henry (Davids) have been awesome together - two out of three knocks they’ve made a play for us,” said Titans coach Rob Walter.
“They put on a stand of about 130 against the bizhub Highveld Lions, and then on Sunday in a small total we were 50 without loss in no time, so they’re a formidable pairing, they’ve got a great relationship and luckily for us they seem to be continuing that.”
