NZ Associations announce first round domestic contracts

New Zealand’s leading players’ have discovered their playing options for next season after the six major associations announcing the first round of domestic contracts for the new campaign.

The contracting process for domestic players involves two rounds with each major association restricted to between nine and 13 contracts before completing their full contingent of 14 players with second round offers being presented on 9 August, 2013.

The two-stage contracting process is designed to ensure increased competition for final contracts throughout New Zealand and improve the competitiveness of domestic competitions.
