The Knights’ 2012/13 Sunfoil Series campaign was very much a case of wondering what might have been, but coach Sarel Cilliers is pleased with the way things are shaping up ahead of today’s opening game in the 2013/14 edition against the Chevrolet Warriors at Buffalo Park.
Ii’s still early days in the Momentum One-Day Cup but, with the Chevrolet Warriors and Cape Cobras issuing strong statements by winning two games out of two away from home, Friday’s clash at Buffalo Park between the two in-form sides has developed added weight.
By their own admission, the Chevrolet Knights and Chevrolet Warriors had largely forgettable campaigns in the 2012/13 Momentum One-Day Cup. Excluding their two head-to-head matches, the two franchises managed just three wins in the 50-over format and found themselves hit regularly by the injury curse.
