Wayne Madsen commits his future to Derbyshire

Despite interest from other counties, Wayne Madsen has signed a three-year contract extension with Derbyshire County Cricket Club. The 29-year-old skipper and two-time Player of the Year is now committed to the Club until the conclusion of the 2016 season.

Ben Stokes, the Durham and England allrounder, is this year’s recipient of the Cricket Writers’ Club Young Cricketer of the Year award. Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen has won the William Hill County Player of the Year Award.
