LVCC REVIEW: Middlesex on top as rain brings eight draws

A rain-soaked eighth round of matches in the LV= County Championship predictably saw all eight games end in draws. Middlesex therefore continue to lead the way in Division One despite not bowling a ball during their match against Sussex. Somerset and Yorkshire remain tied on points with 80 apiece.

LVCC PREVIEW: Winners Middlesex and Yorkshire lock horns

The fourth round of the LV= County Championship sees some tasty clashes, with Middlesex and Yorkshire locking horns at Lord’s off the back of wins in their previous games, and Somerset having a tricky trip to Division One leaders Sussex. In Division Two, big-hitters Hampshire and Surrey do battle in Southampton.

The first round of the LV= County Championship provided plenty of entertainment in spite of the customary damp early Spring weather. Round two begins tomorrow, with champions Durham beginning their title defence by travelling to injury-hit Northamptonshire, and Yorkshire set to begin their title tilt with a trip to 2013 strugglers Somerset.
