As Australia prepare to play fierce rivals New Zealand in a clash that could determine who tops Pool A, David Warner has his sights set on Brendon McCullum.

Our CWC 2015 coverage is brought to you in association with Honey Badger Cricket – look no further for a top quality cricket bat!
McCullum, the Black Cap’s skipper, has been in fine form in the Cricket World Cup 2015 so far and Warner is full os respect for his opponent.
“I think a lot of people, over the last ten years, have seen how Brendon McCullum can bat,” said Warner. “It’s not by fluke or by chance that he has come out and scored the runs that he has.
“He seems like a great guy,” he continued. “I think a lot of the guys know him off the field and he seems like a great humble guy, but when we walk on the field it’s going to be a different story.”
The Australians expect a hostile reception from the Eden Park crowd in Auckland during Saturday’s blockbuster contest and Warner can’t wait.
“It’s perfect, I hope they come out and boo us and give us crap like they always do,” he said. “It’s what’s going to happen and we love that. It gets us up and going and that gets the adrenalin going for sure.”
The Australians will be back in action after their match against Bangladesh was abandoned without a ball being bowled at the weekend. Warner is not perturbed by the enforced lay-off.
“It’s been fantastic to have a break and a rest and freshen up. The bowlers and batters are ready to go.”
“That’s what happens with the weather, you can’t control it and you’ve got to keep practising what you know best. We’ve been training hard and the boys can’t wait to get back out there.”
