The United Arab Emirates’ preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup have taken a blow as all-rounder, Mohammad Shahzad, and off-spinner, Salman Farooq, have been reported for suspect illegal bowling actions by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The umpires reported the two bowlers after the second ODI against Afghanistan that took place on November 30. The match officials for the game then, gave the report to Emirates Cricket Board.
The two players will now have to undergo a test on their bowling actions within 21 days. However, both of them can continue to bowl in internationals until the results of the tests are known.
