Western Warriors were beaten by Victoria by 117 runs, despite Adam Voges scoring centuries in each innings.Victoria claimed 8.83 points and moved ahead of WA (who claimed 1.37 points) into top spot on the Bupa Sheffield Shield table ahead of the Big Bash League break

Adam Voges scored 101 and 139no, twin centuries for the first time in his WA career, while Dan Christian (105no and 3-18 in the second innings) was named Man of the Match

It is Western Warriors first defeat in this Bupa Sheffield Shield as they faced a difficult final day task, resuming at 1-26 chasing 405 to win. Their cause wasn’t helped after losing four first session wickets.

Voges unbeaten ton and Ashton Agar (62) combined for a 156-run sixth-wicket partnership to give the home side hope of staving off defeat in the middle session, and potentially an unlikely win. Voges saw Agar depart caught behind to Christian’s bowling shortly before tea in a crucial breakthrough.

The Bushrangers claimed the four final wickets within an hour after tea.
