Sachin Tendulkar was very generous with his time during his meeting with the school boys of Bowral Public School, where Don Bradman had studied in the past.
This was revealed by Ms. Wendy Buckley, the principal of the School.
“Sachin landed on Bradman Oval by helicopter where all of the students at Bowral Public School were waiting to greet him (there are 540 students at our school),” revealed school principal, Wendy Buckley. “After an introduction he met our school cricket team and then our boys were able to bowl some balls to him, while he batted on the hallow grounds of Bradman Oval.
“Sachin then walked around the Oval meeting as many of our students as possible,” she continued. “He was very generous with his time.
“Our school captain, Michael Dowe welcomed Sachin to Bowral and thanked him for visiting.
“I am not aware of any other International players who have attended our school but Simon Taufel is a parent at our school and we have many up and coming cricketers who are former students,” she added. “Bowral Public School is proud of our Bradman heritage and it was a lot of fun having Sachin Tendulkar visit Bowral today.”
He has toured UAE, Sri Lanka, Morocco and Malaysia, to name a few, and contributes to a large number of newspapers in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
His twitter bio reads: Eat cricket stories, drink cricket stories, sleep cricket stories.
