Johan Botha withdraws appeal against Code of Behaviour Suspension

The South Australian Cricket Association has today advised Cricket Australia (CA) that Johan Botha has withdrawn his appeal against the one Bupa Sheffield Shield match suspension imposed on him under the CA Code of Behaviour.

He had been found to have breached Article 2.2.11 for actions that were a) contrary to the spirit of the game b) harmful to the interests of cricket and c) for bringing the game into disrepute, specifically repeated inappropriate conduct relating to the condition of the match ball.

Botha is suspended for South Australia’s Bupa Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania starting on Tuesday.
