Faisalabad out of CLt20?

Pakistani side Faisalabad Wolves are set to miss the forthcoming Karbonn Smart Champions League t20 having been denied visas by the Indian government, reports suggest.

A number of media outlets in India are reporting that the decision has been taken amidst concerns about national security. The news comes less than a week before the qualifying period gets underway in Mohali on September 17.

Ironically, the first match of the four-team qualifying competition, with the top two going through, is scheduled to be played between New Zealanders Otago Volts and Faisalabad.

It is thought that no replacement team will be called upon, and that Otago, Kundurata Maroons from Sri Lanka and IPL side Sunrisers Hyderabad will fight it out for two places in the main draw.

The CLt20 organisers have remained tight-lipped about such reports.
